Welcome to MHF’s new website!  It builds on the best of the original site, has a new fresh look, and aims to make it easier to find and share resources.

For twenty-five years the Muskoka Heritage Foundation has strongly advocated for the protection, conservation and nurturing of Muskoka’s environment and cultural traditions.  Our products prove our progress. 

In 1996 we established the Muskoka Heritage Trust to protect in perpetuity significant Muskoka properties.  In 2001 we were instrumental in establishing the Muskoka Watershed Council, champions for watershed health.  Throughout, our private land stewardship programs have engaged residents in all parts of Muskoka.

MHF, MHT and MWC passionately share a mission of environmental stewardship throughout Muskoka.   This new site will help you easily access news, information and resources for all three organizations.

Check out the Stewardship blog, details on 1400 acres of properties owned by the Trust, and learn about issues impacting watershed health. Keep up to date on upcoming lectures, conferences and events.

And don’t forget to enjoy the Ponds & Puddles section with your children and grandchildren!  It is those generations who will benefit from our work today.
