A Bequest is a gift to the Muskoka Heritage Trust in your Will.

Bequests can be made by:

* leaving a specified amount of money to the Muskoka Heritage Trust

* leaving a specific piece of property to the Trust

* leaving all or a percentage of your estate or a particular asset to the Trust

Land trusts prefer to accept donations of land during the donor’s lifetime in order to ensure the land meets their conservation objectives and so the terms of the donation can be fulfilled. The donation of land by bequest may provide a tax benefit to the donor’s estate.

Donors are encouraged to seek financial and legal advice related to their potential donation or bequest.
