Muskoka Watershed Council consists of a general council as well as a number of committees.

The bulk of the work for the Muskoka Watershed Council is carried out by its committees. Unless otherwise specified in the MWC Operating Procedures, membership for committees is open to all MWC members as well as the general public.

Current MWC committees are:

• Executive Committee
• Communications Committee
• Policy & Research Committee
• Strategic Directions Committee

Subcommittees may also be formed to focus on a specific topic or issue.

Current subcommittees are:

• Climate Change Ad-hoc Committee reporting to the Executive Committee
• Biodiversity Subcommittee reporting to the Policy & Research Committee
• Large Natural Areas Subcommittee reporting to the Policy & Research Committee
