The Muskoka Watershed Council has developed a Best Practices Program aimed at the general public and local businesses to provide hands-on advice on how to live, work and develop properties in our watershed while protecting the natural values we all love and enjoy.
This program is being developed in partnership with local business owners to ensure that it is practical. A major part of this initiative is the production of a series of Best Practices brochures. Other components of the program include:
- Newspaper articles in local papers
- Public Service Announcements on local radio stations
- Displays at community events
- Workshops and information sessions
- Presentations to community groups
- Web page for additional information
