  The annual Muskoka Heritage Foundation Golf Classic has taken place in recent years on preeminent golf courses throughout Muskoka.  The Golf Classic is a one of MHF’s primary fundraising events essential to raising funds for our environmental stewardship programs.

The August 22, 2011 Golf Classic was hosted by Muskoka Highlands, recipient in 2010 of the prestigious Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an award winning education and certification program that helps golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf.  By helping people enhance the valuable natural areas and wildlife habitats that golf courses provide, improve efficiency, and minimize potentially harmful impacts of golf course operations, the program serves as vital resource for golf courses. http://acspgolf.auduboninternational.org/ 

The event was a great success. Golfers were treated to fine weather, a Muskoka Brewery beer tasting, a tasty pig roast dinner and lots of prizes. MHF extends sincere thanks to participating golfers, Don McKay of Muskoka Highlands, and all our sponsors and contributors.
